you can also:
-press windows key r
-type cmd
-then type "convert .wma .mp3 "song file name with path.wma" "new song file name.mp3"
-then press enter

Erm the "convert" command is used to convert FAT32 formatted drives to NTFS and has nothing to do with converting music files, at least not natively. You must have some program installed that allows you to do that.

YouTube movies are in flv format (although adding &fmt=18 to any link allows you to watch in a much higher quality mp4 format). You could download the video itself (there are various online sites and programs that allow you to do this) and then extract the audio with a program. I have a program capable of this but I don't know of any free ones...you gotta be sneaky.

My point is, CK, there really is no need to find a serial for any sort of shareware program for this stuff, there are lots of freeware programs that do the same thing (try the first link in the results page I linked to earlier in thread...).

CK you are totally confused. Converting a file from one format to another is in no way illegal. If it was, then using a paid for program to do it wouldn't make it any more legal anyway.

There are many programs that do the converting that are freeware. Freeware means they are free to download and use and have no restrictions. You on the other hand have apparently bought a program to do the same thing, which is just a waste of money.

but its pretty ez once you get used to it, you arent really 'converting' files, you are just importing and resaving...so I suppose it would be manually converting as opposed to a program which is specifically for conversion but w/e.

Audacity is open-source and thus does not support WMA or WMA Lossless (the licences for which are not free). It also, for the same reason, does not support AAC or RealAudio files.
